What makes dual view special?
Traditional dumpers require the operator to swivel the seat manually. Wacker Neuson’s dual‑view concept solves this by putting the entire driver’s cab on a rotating frame. The electro‑hydraulically driven cab rotates 180° at the push of a button on the joystick and can be used even while the machine is moving. This gives the operator an unobstructed view in the direction of travel or towards the work area. In Multi View mode, the cab can also be turned sideways, providing an excellent view into trenches or alongside obstacles for precise backfilling and unloading. When you finish tipping, the automatic skip‑return function brings the skip back to the transport position at the press of a button, letting the operator stay focused on driving.
Safety and operator comfort
Wacker Neuson designed the DV45 with safety in mind. Important features include:
- Hill‑hold function – prevents the dumper from rolling back when stationary by automatically applying brakes when the driver releases the accelerator. This gives peace of mind on inclines.
- Inclination monitoring – optical and acoustic signals warn the operator if the machine is standing on an unsafe slope or if the skip is raised in a dangerous position.
- Seat‑belt monitoring with start release – the DV45 won’t start until the orange safety belt is engaged. A green LED on the outside of the cab lights up when the operator is correctly buckled up. The monitoring system also sounds a visual and audible alarm if someone tries to start the dumper without wearing the belt.
- Active Sense Control (optional) – a radar‑based object detection system monitors the surroundings and, when necessary, slows or stops the machine to avoid collisions.
- Sturdy skip guard and camera washing system – a protective skip grating (tested to withstand the impact of a 15‑t excavator bucket) shields the cab from falling material, and the front and rear cameras have a washing system so the operator always has a clear view.
- Hydrostatic braking with automatic brake lights – taking your foot off the accelerator slows the machine and simultaneously triggers the brake lights, alerting people working nearby.
- Entry/exit both sides – access steps on both sides mean you can safely enter or exit the machine no matter which way the cab is facing.
