While the KX085-5 is a familiar face in our fleet, this setup is special because of the <strong>tilt\u2011rotator<\/strong>\u00a0fitted to the boom. The Engcon system transforms an ordinary excavator into an incredibly versatile tool carrier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why a tilt\u2011rotator?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A tilt rotator acts as a wrist between the excavator and the bucket. The <strong>Engcon EC209<\/strong>\u00a0model fitted here is designed for <strong>6\u20119\u00a0tonne machines<\/strong>\u00a0(13,200\u201319,800\u00a0lb). It provides <strong>\u00b145\u00b0 tilt<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>infinite rotation<\/strong>, allowing the operator to angle and spin attachments in any direction without repositioning the base machine. This dramatically reduces the number of machine movements and lets you work in tight spaces or around obstacles with ease.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Built\u2011in quick coupler convenience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Engcon integrates its <strong>EC\u2011Oil automatic quick coupler system<\/strong>, which automatically connects hydraulic tools without leaving the cab when paired with the S45 quick coupler and DC2 control system. This means the operator can switch between buckets, grabs or other hydraulic attachments in seconds, improving productivity and reducing downtime.<\/p>\n<p>Safety is a priority too. The <strong>Q\u2011Safe quick coupler<\/strong>\u00a0locks attachments securely, and the <strong>QSC locking system<\/strong>\u00a0prevents dropped or improperly connected buckets. <strong>Load\u2011holding valves<\/strong>\u00a0on the tilt cylinders and <strong>hardened piston rods<\/strong>\u00a0further enhance reliability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ready for multiple tools and guidance systems<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The EC209 comes ready to accept a <strong>detachable grabber (GRD)<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>rotating brush (SWD)<\/strong>, broadening your choice of attachments. It also has a <strong>rotation sensor<\/strong>\u00a0for integration with excavator guidance systems\u00a0and a <strong>central lubrication point<\/strong>\u00a0so the entire tilt rotator can be greased from a single grease nipple. Its <strong>DC2 proportional control system<\/strong>\u00a0offers variable control, remote support capability and optional track\/wheel steering and boom slew control.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Productivity and flexibility on site<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adding a tilt rotator to a mid\u2011sized excavator like the KX085\u20115 transforms how you work. Operators can dig around obstacles, grade slopes, trim banks, handle materials with a grab or brush and work parallel to trenches without constantly moving the base machine.
